Wonderful Wednesday!

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Well, this just goes to show you that I don't ever know what I will find Mr. Tucker up to!  He thought this beautiful setting was the perfect photo op for us!  So, of course, he wanted to be in on the action.  Or, should I say…IN the picture!  Well, he is one good little poser so yet again, how could I resist this face?!! 🙂

We had to be quick with this photo shoot, as the bees were loving these blossoms!  Some ended up in a few of the pictures, but I was able to get one or two shots that were "bee free"!! :)  I love the wispy parts of these blossoms.   And, of course, you know I am drawn to all this PINKNESS!!

I was looking for a sweet bit of inspiration to share with you on this WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY and just happened to come to this first…I think it is just perfect for today's post…goes right along with these sweet blossoms!

"It is always wise to stop wishing for things long enough to enjoy the fragrance of those now flowering."

This reminds me of something my mom has always encouraged me to do…to not just take time to pray to God about concerns or worries but to make sure to take time to THANK HIM for all the many blessings He shares with us…and, to actually enjoy these blessings.  As I get older, I especially love this bit of encouragement from her and see just how important it is.  Things may not always happen exactly when or how we want them to, but isn't it amazing to see that God's plan is so much better than ours?!!  We may not always realize it or see it at first, but I love it when I can recognize that if things had worked out as I thought were best…well, the story would have unfolded much differently…and, not in the way it needed to.  Even when we think our garden may be full of weeds, there is always a flower blooming somewhere.  We must look for its beauty…and, search for its sweet fragrance!

This also reminds me of some of the times when I have found myself in a new place…just moved, getting settled, and making new friends.  Some days felt rather lonely at times, and just when I would be hoping to meet someone new, that would be the day I received a card in the mail or a phone call from a sweet friend…miles away.  No, no new friend that day…but, God did remind me that I was already blessed with so many sweet friends…they might be miles away, but they are always right here in my heart.  I love recognizing that He opened up a window when I was so busy looking for open doors!
