Can you believe it’s almost time for Santa to arrive?  Wow!! ~ Seems like the month of December has flown by!  My mom has just really started her shopping only a couple of days ago, but I must say, I’m pretty impressed with what all she has accomplished with it.  She made her lists, has been checking them twice (make that a hundred times!), and had a map in mind of just where she needed to head to when out shopping.  She definitely had to make sure she was all ready in that department because Poppy agreed to go with her, and well, the man is not really a shopper.  But, she said he was so sweet and helpful…I put a “bug in his ear” telling him to be sure to be nice because Santa is always watching.   🙂

I came across the above picture earlier and thought I would share it with y’all.  It is from when we lived in Kuwait.  I can remember my mom pulling out some of her favorite Christmas decorations, and that Raggedy Ann is one of them.  Of course, she had the bright idea that I needed to pose with Raggedy Ann!  I can’t tell you how many shots she took…my head turned to the side, my ears up, then down, me smiling…not any with a frown! 🙂  Gosh, I am such a good sport!!   I hope you have been having fun pulling out some of your favorite Christmas decorations and enjoying spreading lots of sweet Christmas cheer to all those around you.  It is such a special time of year, and although it can get a bit stressful {naps help with that though, I promise!}, we all really need to take time to reflect on our blessings and try not to get so frazzled with our “to do list” that we forget to celebrate the true meaning of CHRISTmas.

We’re working on getting our Christmas cards mailed and have been having such fun checking the mailbox each day for ones from friends and family.  I love seeing them and was so excited to find that I had a card addressed to ME in the box yesterday!! Wow!! What a treat, and guess what??? It came all the way from “across the pond”!! Yep, our sweet friend Claire sent me a Christmas card!! Talk about a tail wagging good day…sure made me smile!! {and, my mom, too!}

Hope this finds you enjoying the last few days before Christmas!  Take time to enjoy a chat with a friend, a warm cuppa cocoa {with tons o’ marshmallows}, and a few fun Christmas movies!  Make memories no matter what you do because these are the moments that make LIFE so special!
