Watching another day come to a close on a beautiful beach

Children playing in those last moments before it’s time to “call it a day”

Seagulls swooping down, looking for the remaining “catch of the day”

Yes, another sunset signals all of these things, and I am blessed once again to watch it unfold

In a second, the canvas changes

New colors are chosen

And, they look as though they have been studied…envisioned…made certain that they flow together

And, just when I think that must be the magical moment of the sunset

It is this that flashes before my eyes

New color, vivid color…my color…yes, PINK it is!

A few touches here, a few splashes there…the canvas changes

Then, I am once again inspired

Filled to the brim with gratitude for having the opportunity to watch this

WORK OF ART

come to life before my very eyes!

*Yes, all of these shots were made on the same evening.  I absolutely love going back through my pictures and seeing just how different not only each sunset is, but how unique even the moments of those sunsets are.  In a matter of seconds, it can change.  I love being on the beach and hearing the “oohs and ahhs” as the sun waves goodbye for the final time.  And, once it fades away, everyone claps.  Doesn’t that just make your heart SMILE??  It does mine!!  I love that people from allover come together at this time of the day to watch the sunset and hearing them applaud like this…it’s as if they are saying, “Job well done; thank you for another day!”

Thank you for joining me for my Sunset Sunday posts!  I am so excited about doing this each week, as it gives me a chance to enjoy my photos allover again, and I am seeing new things in the pictures that I had not noticed before.  I hope you find some beauty and inspiration in them, too!

I have not altered the colors in any of the photos above, except for the last one…just thought it would be fun to give it a bit of a vintage look.  I can just see that one on the front of a card!  🙂  And, these just happened to be taken with my point and shoot camera.
