Nope, yet again, you are not reading the date wrong!  As you know, if you have been following my blog…I am trying to do a bit of catching up.  When I began this blog, my goal was to post each day, and I was doing pretty good til my shoulder decided to flair up.  Perhaps it was all the blogging??…haha  So, little by little, I have been trying to catch up but just seem to get farther behind!  Do you ever do this?  Bet you can relate!  So, here I am, trying to play "catch up", and I am realizing that I just might have to skip a few days in between so I can get on to the "good stuff"!  Ah, the "good stuff"…what could that possibly mean?  Well, some of you already know…some of you may be sitting on the edge of your seat…stay tuned…I have much to tell, lots to share, and of course, I am going to do it all with YOU!! 

Now, back to June 5th….I had lunch with my sweet friend Ivette.  I actually started this post the other week, and it seems to have vanished.  Ivette and I had tried to plan a lunch outing for weeks…goodness, it was really crazy…we just couldn't seem to get it together.  She would be out of town, or I would…or, there was just too much going on.  So, needless to say, we were so happy to finally have a day where we could sit down and just catch up a bit over lunch!  What better way to catch up then over the sweet taste of cherry lemonade!!  Yep, it's summertime!!  We were a little surprised when we realized we were going to have the opportunity to try out the new "Friendly Straw"…yes, it's "friendly" to the environment!  It's all about "going green", right?!!  Well, you may even do so when sipping your cherry lemonade!  Have you tried one of these?  I must admit it takes a bit of getting used to.  It is like drinking from cardboard!  Not to lower the expectations of this new design, but I must be honest…it's different…it's a change from what you are used to…but, this can be a good thing, right?!!  Now, if you really want to seem in tune with things just ask for a "friendly straw" the next time you order your cherry lemonade! 🙂

And, you know how much I love inspirational quotes so I was sure to snap a picture of this one that graced the wall of our lunch spot.  So true!
