I think it may be safe to say that this beach chick is having a bit of spring fever! It was so pretty and sunny the other day so we headed to the beach for a walk, but we knew we were a bit underdressed when we arrived and saw the flag flying so wildly. My sweet hubby was going for a quick run to begin with so I had to head back to the car to get my coat and just enjoy snapping a few pics while he ran. It was way to chilly and windy for this chick to be on the beach in shorts. Yep, like I said…someone is experiencing a bit of spring fever!
No wonder I needed to get a few pretty flowers in some of my pots around the patio and front…I’m so ready to have lots of colorful things blooming again! I just couldn’t stand seeing them hanging bare with nothing smiling at Cooper and me each time we head outside. We do like to have flowers smiling at us from little spots in the yard!
I decided to stop by the lovely Bastide shoppe to see if they might have something blooming for my pots and lucked out when I found 2 lonely little flats of pansies…yes, they were just waiting for a new home. So, I got them all potted and am happy to look out to see their smiling faces beaming at me each day while we endure a few more chilly days. I know…it is still February! 🙂
I also couldn’t resist these tulips and daffodils! Oh, I so love tulips…my fave flower!
The Bastide shoppe is full of the sweetest treasures.
It’s like walking into a charming French garden shoppe that is running over with unique dish gardens, ivy, and all sorts of green loveliness!
It’s filled with yummy candles, French inspired cozy rooms, and tons of little “heart desires”.
I was “tealighted” to find this adorable birdie bud vase. Oh, my…it is so precious ~ just look at these sweet little roses filling it up! I will love bringing in our Camillia blooms, azaleas, and other flowers from the yard to enjoy.
I have always loved having bud vases in the kitchen and other spots in the house. My granny and mom have always loved doing this so I grew up watching them surprise me with sweet little blooms in the cutest little vases. My mom always loved taking them to granny as a little surprise, and I can remember granny walking up to see us and coming in with a few flowers she had picked. I sure miss those days…but, I can still see her smiling as she came in as she said, “I brought you a little surprise!”. Oh, goodness…my heart is so full of the sweetest memories and moments with her. She would love that I am making sure to have little flowers smiling at us!
I love sweet succulent gardens, and this shoppe has some of the cutest ones…and, they are “beachified”!! 🙂
You know me…I think you can add a starfish to anything to make it more lovely!
So, even if it may be a little while before we can start our gardening projects for the spring, we can still enjoy a little gardening indoors!
Keep your sweatshirts close by, and enjoy these cozy, chilly days! And, always, always take time to peek out and enjoy the SUNSHINE!!
Hugs!
