Such a beautiful start to my day…seeing sweet dolphins dancing about in the water!  They are one of my favorite things to watch, and if you follow me on Facebook you know I spotted lots of them the other week…only about 5 mins after thinking to myself that I sure wished we would see some while on the beach.  And, we did…just like that…as if they were on cue!

This morning I saw one jumping waves and couldn’t believe how close to shore he was…then, there were more, of course!  And, the best part was they were playing with each other as though they were putting on a show for all to see!  They would jump about, rub noses, dive in the water, and come up showing their beautiful, glistening bodies…amazing, I assure you!

My iphone shut down for some reason right as we stepped on the beach.  I knew the battery had just a little less than half when I glanced at it as we left home so it was so strange it just turned off.  I was so disappointed to not be able to snap pics of these amazing creatures!  I also didn’t have my big camera with me so I was just out of luck in capturing their show.  But, my memory recorded each moment!  So, maybe it was just meant to be for me to enjoy them…really enjoy them…and not worry about the angle, the shot, or catching them as they came up from the water.  Maybe it was just meant for me to create mental memories this morning.  And, these memories are just perfect for a variety of sketches to come about!  I had already sketched this cute dolphin a couple of months ago so when I got home I found him and added a little JOY to his world!  🙂  He’ll be in the shoppe soon!

The crowd that soon huddled together was almost as much fun as the dolphins!  Watching a group of all ages giggle, smile, and point to the show being performed was a dose of SUNSHINE for sure!  How amazing it is to see others taking in God’s beauty and really taking time to enJOY it!  I stopped a mom and her young son as they were walking to show them the first dolphin I spotted because they would have missed it since they were walking in the other direction.  She giggled with delight as she pointed them out to her son and thanked me for taking time to show them.

And, I usually see these handsome guys, too!  Love it when they are flying in formation…absolutely beautiful!

Hope your day started off on a good note…even if you didn’t see dolphins jumping about, I hope you found JOY as you looked around!
