Strolling Through Seaside ~ A Sweet Little Beach Town

Ah, quaint beach spots always make me smile!  The cute town of Seaside is close to our home, and we love going there to stroll along the beach, check out some of the shops, or do a little taste testing at some of the yummy cafes and airstreams. And, of course, I love taking photos...

Oh, sweet Minnie, I don’t know what happened to summer…one minute I am sunbathing and the next…well, my mom is trying to get me to try on Halloween costumes!! 🙂 I don’t know what she is thinking…she seriously bought a cat costume for me!!! I refuse to wear such!! Well, I do hope you are enjoying summer, sweet friend…does it get really hot for you there? Hopefully there is always a nice breeze for you!! Enjoy summer…will you be going on some boat rides? So happy to hear you like my clothes {thank you!!}…I like to pick out my faves, and then mom surprises me with them all along! 🙂 I love getting surprises in the mail! Sending you lots of kisses!! TuckerReplyCancel

  • Poor Tucker – am sorry for the itchy feet – there are several things you can do to help him out – are you on my Facebook group page called WESTIES HEALTH — FROM EARS TO TAIL? If not – you have my e-mail address so send me a note and I’ll send you the link.

First – get some non-allergic baby wipes and wipe off his feet when he comes inside – also use Gold Bond Medicated Powder between the pads of the feet – but try and remove as much of the fur between the pads as possible with blunt-end scissors … does Tucker’s feet smell sweet? This is a sign of yeast/bacterial infection which has settled into a nice cozy spot. On my group page there is a treatment of soaking the feet in apple cider vinegar … and I could go on and on and on – also an allergy pill from the vet might also help.

There is no reason for your Tucker to be biting at his cute little feet … all the best, KatieReplyCancel

    • amteatime

Hi Katie, thank you soooo very much for your sweet comment!! 🙂 Tucker and I appreciate it so! Yes, I am on the FB page you mentioned so I’ll keep an eye out on there for ideas that may be shared. Thanks so much for the thought about the baby wipes. I try to be good about wiping his fee off each time we come back in, but the wipes will work great. His feet don’t seem to smell “sweet” so maybe we are ok in that regard. He is wearing cute socks which really helps with him not biting on his feet…they don’t seem to be bothering him as much so I am hoping they are getting better. I don’t ever want my sweet lil guy to be uncomfortable so I’m always happy to hear about ideas. 🙂 Many thanks for your tips and for your visit…Tucker and I love for you to stop by!! 🙂 Hugs to you!!ReplyCancel

Yes, I do keep them, and I am thinking of lining these up/securing them on one of the wood pieces I found on the beach one day and hanging it in our home…think it would make a fun piece of ART!! [this shows all the American Girl doll clothing I’m making that will go with McKenna in October. She will be auctioned off to raise money for the WESTIE FOUNDATION OF AMERICA at Montgomery. • Hello Ann-Margaret! My you have a beautiful view their in FL! We certainly don’t see heron like that here but we do have plenty of those entertaining sea gulls….in fact we fed them on the beach yesterday. Your paintings are beautiful – you really have natural talent, Ann-Margaret! I have a friend who would love the one with the pink hair – half her hair is actually pink! And the eyes and are so expressive on the second painting. Are they modeled after real people that you know?
Have a happy day creating and keeping out of the heat! 🙂ReplyCancel

    • amteatime

Hi Sweet Cindy!! Always love hearing from you, girlie!! Thank you…I do love the view here so much!! Those sea gulls are so much fun to watch, aren’t they?!! 🙂 Did you get some fun pics of the boys feeding them? Oh, thank you so much for your sweet compliments about my art…it means so much to me!! Oh, my, I love it…your friend has PINK hair!! 🙂 Of course, you know I love PINK so I think giving some of my girls that shade just kinda came about one day…I remember doing one and thought “She should have pink hair!”. I loved how it turned out and find that I keep wanting to give that PINK glow to more girls!! LOL It is neat that you ask if they are modeled after real people…they are not, but I have often finished a sketch and realize that it looks like someone I know! 🙂 Hope y’all are having tons of fun at the beach!!ReplyCancel

Summer Lovin’ ~ Finding Sunshine in all the Little Things!

Ah, Summertime…so much to love!!  Around here thunderstorms can pop up quickly on warm summer afternoons, and just recently we dealt with a tropical storm that was brewing.  The tides can change quickly, and before you know it, it’s ok to splash in the water again. And, surfer girls head out to catch a few...

Hello there, so glad to see this new post. Your pictures are beautiful, love the fresh air look of them. What a pretty painting that is, her hair is what I want mine to be like. I’m stuck with this messy/curly/tangled hair instead, lol

I LOVE finding the little things everyday that bring me happiness and peace. Just did a little post about it yesterday, you will probably enjoy reading it.

For a new summer tradtition we are taking a big blanket outside and just hanging out on it. A little break before bedtime, just quiet time and savoring the end of a summer day. On this first outing we played cards and some hangman puzzles and just laughed and enjoyed being together and making this time. I am hoping to do this at least 3x a week, if we do more that is AWESOME.
Enjoy your weekend, may it be filled with lazyiness, sunshine, laughter and love.
p.s. how cool that you found a heart on your walk, that’s what it’s all about, the little things.ReplyCancel
