Arriving in London and Anticipating Teatime with a Sweet Friend

I apologize for being a little MIA here on the blog, but things have been busy the past few weeks so I’m excited to play a little catch up with you and share about some of the things I’ve been up to.  We were in London week before last ~ John had meetings to go to so I got to tag along.  Goodness, you know he couldn’t leave this TEA chick behind for that trip!  Once I found out we were going I immediately thought about my sweet friend, Claire, whom lives outside of London.  We’ve known each other for a few years now, as we met via our blogs.  She loves teatime, and when we first met our love for all things TEA related was definitely a hot topic, as we discovered we had much in common.  So, yes, we got to finally meet in person!!  But, you’ll have to wait for that part of the story, as I am going to start with our arrival first.  Nothing like keeping you in suspense a bit!  When we arrived it was overcast, rainy, and a little chilly.  Not to worry, I was prepared, as I had been told to be sure to take my raincoat!!

John had to head off to his meetings so I took a nap…yes, the preparation for the trip, rushing to get out of the house and head to the airport, and that long flight had zapped all of my energy!  I didn’t sleep much on the flight at all, and I decided a little rainy weather was just perfect for a cozy nap!  I had to snap a few pictures first!

We stayed at a hotel close to the airport this day since it was within walking distance of John’s meetings.  Not much to do in that little spot, but I did love the serene view from our room.

Horses, goats, and ducks were all gathered together and then, headed off on their own path.

A little road action…yes, be sure to remember they drive on the opposite side of the road so you definitely need to remind yourself about this when crossing the street!

As the week went on the temperatures dropped, and this flip flop wearing girl had to don boots, a coat, and my fave scarf!  Thank goodness, I remembered to take my cute hat…it was perfect as we were out and about sightseeing!  And, of course, a warm cuppa tea is just perfect EVERY DAY!!  🙂

Stay tuned for more about my trip…can’t wait to share the teatime pictures with you!  Claire chose the most beautiful spot for tea!  And, of course, it inspired a bit of TEA art!!

Happy Saturday!

Hugs,
