A Cuppa Positivity with Ann~Margaret ~ Giving JOY is the Easiest Way to Receive It

Today, think about someone that could really use a smile in their mailbox…a cute, sweet card ~ perhaps a funny card…the kind that will make them look twice as they are sorting their mail.  The kind that will put a smile on their face FOR.THE.REST.OF.THE.DAY…maybe even all week.  The kind that they will secure to the refridgerator with a magnet, hang on their inspiration line (you don’t have one?? ~ we need to chat!), stand on their desk, or tape it to their mirror so they can see it each day.  They will know they were thought of; they will realize they are loved.  And, it will be one of the best things you can do to start your week off with a “Cuppa Positivity”!

Well, you may ask why or how is this going to affect you…it will, I assure you of this.  If you think about how this card will make this person feel….even for just a moment…it will make you smile.  It will make you feel good inside.  And, isn’t that how we want to start off our week feeling?  I thought so!

I used to do gift baskets with the shoppe, and each time I was working on one I would just imagine how the recipient was going to feel when they peered through the wrap and saw all the perfect surprises inside…surprises that had been chosen just for them.  I would imagine them oohing and ahhing over something so sweet, so perfect and how they would call a friend to tell them about the gift they had just received.  I would imagine how it would MAKE.THEIR.DAY!  And, I loved that! It was a job getting all those treats to stay nestled just where they needed to be, getting the cards to stand right in front so their initials and cute design would be smiling at them instantly, and then, trying to secure it in all those fluffy peanuts.  But, the end result…well worth all the work!  My friends used to tease me when they would receive a gift from me about all the tape I used…I meant I didn’t want any box getting beaten up in its journey causing something to pop open.  Maybe I went just a little overboard with the sticky stuff!  🙂

Now, when I send something out in the mail, whether it is an order or a gift to a friend or family member, I still find myself thinking about that person.  I always ask that they be blessed and may the gift add a dose of SUNSHINE to their day.  And, you know what…it feels good inside…especially in that HEART area…it makes me happy to send a little JOY out in the world….especially to someone who may not be expecting it.

So, today, I want you to hop on board my JOY train, and let’s don’t wait for February 14th to send a little love out.  Your friend needs a smile, your mom may need one more, or maybe it’s someone that you used to work with that gave you a hard time…but, they taught you things.  It’s easy…just say…you were on my heart today.  And, if that’s a little too mushy…then, just say “Thinking ‘bout ya!!”…maybe even add in “Just Because”.  I like that, and they will, too!!  Now, go ahead…I know you’ve got some cute cards, stationary, or even a note you can doodle on….add a smiley face…put a stamp on it and send it out!  You will add a dose of JOY to someone’s day, and it will fill your cup with POSITIVITY!! {And, of this I am quite POSITIVE!}

I wrote this post the other day…and, this morning as I was reading some of my inspirational things as I like to do to get the day started off I came across the most perfect paragraph that I just have to add in. Now remember that my post was already written ~ I just love how I happened to turn to a page that had something so fitting to go along with my thoughts.  🙂  *This sweet angel above will be in the shoppe soon as a note card and print.

“The generous heart is the happy heart.  If you have beautiful thoughts, why should you hoard them?  If you have wonderful gifts, why should you hide them?  I f you have a warm, loving hand, why should you close it against your breast instead of opening it in cordial greeting to your brother man?  One little act of generosity is a small thing, yet you cannot perform the most trivial task which will be a blessing to someone else without being benefited by it yourself.  Someone has said, ‘Charity is never lost; it may meet with ingratitude, or be of no service to those on whom it was bestowed, yet it ever does a work of beauty of grace upon the heart of the giver.’”   ~ Ida Scott Taylor
