Sometimes I just love to grab a new journal and play a bit in it…just be silly…and, of course, that probably means I will create a cute whimsical girl to adorn the page with!

I did just that the other day and in a matter of a few mins I had drawn this sassy chick. She has all sorts of things I could point out that are not “correct” or “just right” when it comes to creating a girl…drawing a face.

But, you know what…it doesn’t matter! I didn’t want her to be anywhere near “perfect”.

And, I assure you, there is no “perfect” when it comes to art. Nope…it’s in the eye of the beholder…and, it’s the beauty seen and felt by the artist when she steps back and “feels” something from the marks she just made.

It’s so much more than “perfect”. “Perfect” stops many from being true to themselves, prevents people from speaking up, hinders us from being all that we truly can be.

So, DON’T STRIVE FOR “PERFECT”.

Be YOU…let your heart speak through your words, your art, your services, your gifts that you share with the world. And, oh, my goodness…share those gifts, sweet chick!! The world needs you…the world needs “happy pink-haired” chicks full of soul, love, and personality that know what HAPPY is really all about!
