Sunset Sunday ~ A Glowing End to a Day!

Glowing…yes, I think that pretty much sums up this sunset! I love how little pools form along the beach…little secret spots just perfect for toe-dippin’! I love this shot…love how the ring shows up below the sun and a “little sun” appears inside of it!  🙂 I hope your weekend was calm, relaxing, and full...

A Peek into My Art Journal ~ Gratitude Girl

I thought it would be fun to give you a little peek into one of my art journals. I was busy working on other things the other day and just decided to flip a page and start dropping color. I grabbed some of my Dr Martin’s Bombay inks…yes, that vibrant RED…and just let my fingers...

      Hello dear friend,
What wise and heartfelt thoughts you shared, it’s like you were talking right to me. Everyone who knows me, knows that I don’t like change, not small or big ones. I’m a very routine kinda girl, like to keep it simple and easy and PLAN PLAN PLAN!! HAHA!

Just reading this helped me because there is going to be some big changes happening in our lives, something new is being asked of me and I’m afraid and excited to take this challenge. My heart tells me to try it and yet a part tells me I might not be able to. Thanks for these helpful words today, will let them sit with me and see if they help me with this decision.

I too got a new haircut 3 years ago on my 40th bday. Went to a new salon and told the girl (who happened to live a few streets away and gradutated with my oldest, small world we live in) to color my hair and cut it any way she wanted. Well she about fell over and was sooooo excited to have permission to PLAY!! Most customers tell her EXCATLY what to do and that’s fine but having permission to do what SHE wanted and to PLAY was a wonderful feeling for her. She even had some girls come over to talk to me and say how great that was for me to come in and trust her and change my style that I’ve had since middle school. Well, 3 hours later I came out with a new look and color, my family loved it and was excited. A new style can lift you up and make you feel so much better and ready for anything coming our way. GOOD FOR YOU GOING IN AND DOING SOMETHING NEW AND TRUSTING SOMEONE NEW, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND IT AND AM THRILLED FOR YOU!! Hope you can share a picture of the new YOU!!

Oh and almost forgot, love love the art journal page. This girl is awesome, the colors are bright and the words have been heard today and I’m always remembering to be grateful and to look for the LOVE in my LIFE!! Just did a little post last night that makes me happy and feeling blessed!!

Sorry to have written a book, you really reached me though so I had to give back to you!!
      ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!
      LOVE AND HUGS

Sunset Sunday ~ Starting Your Week Off With a Little Sunshine!…And, New Art!

I remember this sunset and how excited I was when I returned home and viewed the shots I captured on my computer.  I loved them!  It was as though they told a story…well, they do! Nothing much better than watching someone enjoying their space…their retreat… Maybe we should all take up a little fishing…there must...

Hello there sweet friend, so glad to see your new posts. This sunset is STUNNING and BREATHTAKING!! How amazing your words are for this, just what I needed to see this morning. What a great example of faith and letting go. We all have good days and bad days with this I agree. Need to print those words out and read everyday to remind myself to count on my faith. Thank you for this reminder and for the beauty in the this picture.

I read your other post and LOOOOOVE your new girl, she is soooo cute!! How fun you must have creating each one, they are colorful and happy. Little Tucker is sure a cutie too. Can’t wait to see more of your art.

Take care and enjoy your summer days!!ReplyCancel

    • Gorgeous photos, I love the ocean and wouldn’t want to live too far from it!!!I find it a conduit to finding answers, and healing. I quite often say ” Let go and let god,” because seriously that is sometimes the only solution to those burdening problems. I have never been let down! Faith can sometimes be our only option. Sending you love and light!!

Beautiful girl Ann-Margaret! I am sorry I have been out of touch. Got back from our trip sick and had been sleeping it off for a couple of days. I am sure jet lag had something to do with it too. I have hit an art ‘wall’. Not sure why. Hoping visiting your lovely site inspires me :-). Have a wonderful day!ReplyCancel

Hi Dawn!! Thank you so much!! I’m so happy that you like my new art girls…they’ve been wanting to make a debut! Now, I find myself wanting to give them all PINK hair!! LOL Yes, I was so excited to keep finding those hearts…I could not believe that I would take a few steps and find another one smiling up at me!! Yes, I do keep them, and I am thinking of lining these up/securing them on one of the wood pieces I found on the beach one day and hanging it in our home…think it would make a fun piece of ART!! Can’t ever have too much LOVE, now can we?!! The beach is just my happy place, for sure!! Hugs to you!!ReplyCancel

    • I was just doing a little blog hopping and found you – so I just signed up for your e-mail notification of new posts.

Tucker is really cute – what breeder did you get him from???

On Facebook look for my group page: WESTIES HEALTH — FROM EARS TO TAIL [are you a member already?] – I only allow health related questions on westies on this group page. Great source of info on our white little fur-kids.

      All the best,

[this shows all the American Girl doll clothing I’m making that will go with McKenna in October. She will be auctioned off to raise money for the WESTIE FOUNDATION OF AMERICA at Montgomery. Last year I donated Molly with 400 pieces of clothing – crazy for one little girl to have so much for one doll!ReplyCancel

    • Hello Ann-Margaret! My you have a beautiful view their in FL! We certainly don’t see heron like that here but we do have plenty of those entertaining sea gulls….in fact we fed them on the beach yesterday. Your paintings are beautiful – you really have natural talent, Ann-Margaret! I have a friend who would love the one with the pink hair – half her hair is actually pink! And the eyes and are so expressive on the second painting. Are they modeled after real people that you know?
Have a happy day creating and keeping out of the heat! 🙂ReplyCancel

Hi Sweet Cindy!! Always love hearing from you, girlie!! Thank you…I do love the view here so much!! Those sea gulls are so much fun to watch, aren’t they?!! 🙂 Did you get some fun pics of the boys feeding them? Oh, thank you so much for your sweet compliments about my art…it means so much to me!! Oh, my, I love it…your friend has PINK hair!! 🙂 Of course, you know I love PINK so I think giving some of my girls that shade just kinda came about one day…I remember doing one and thought “She should have pink hair!”. I loved how it turned out and find that I keep wanting to give that PINK glow to more girls!! LOL It is neat that you ask if they are modeled after real people…they are not, but I have often finished a sketch and realize that it looks like someone I know! 🙂 Hope y’all are having tons of fun at the beach!!ReplyCancel
