Summer Lovin’ ~ Finding Sunshine in all the Little Things!

Ah, Summertime…so much to love!!  Around here thunderstorms can pop up quickly on warm summer afternoons, and just recently we dealt with a tropical storm that was brewing.  The tides can change quickly, and before you know it, it’s ok to splash in the water again. Hello there, so glad to see this new post. Your pictures are beautiful, love the fresh air look of them. What a pretty painting that is, her hair is what I want mine to be like. I’m stuck with this messy/curly/tangled hair instead, lol

I LOVE finding the little things everyday that bring me happiness and peace. Just did a little post about it yesterday, you will probably enjoy reading it.

For a new summer tradtition we are taking a big blanket outside and just hanging out on it. A little break before bedtime, just quiet time and savoring the end of a summer day. On this first outing we played cards and some hangman puzzles and just laughed and enjoyed being together and making this time. I am hoping to do this at least 3x a week, if we do more that is AWESOME.
Enjoy your weekend, may it be filled with lazyiness, sunshine, laughter and love.
p.s. how cool that you found a heart on your walk, that’s what it’s all about, the little things.ReplyCancel

Sunset Sunday ~ Golden Swirls

Photography certainly comes in handy on days like today when the SUN just couldn’t find its way out from all the clouds. And, although I love a good rainy day…well, I may start feeling a little cabin fever by the middle of this week, and it’s photos like these that will let me feel as...

I loved watching this and hearing about your thoughts on visions for ourselves. Getting HAPPY MAIL is the best, even my kids get excited about it. Just so you know, the lighting was good and your studio looks beautiful, love all the windows. I hope you will do more of these videos, I agree with Ashley it’s helpful to hear other people’s thoughts on art and what works for them. Thanks for sharing this with us, love your canvas, she came out so pretty.ReplyCancel

Dawn, I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the video…thanks so much for taking time to visit with me in my studio!! 🙂 Many thanks for your comments about the lighting and how my studio looks…so happy you could see it ok. Oh, I love those windows, too!! I just catch myself taking a few minutes here and there to look out at the pond, watch the blue herons that come by, and try to see if any turtles are sunbathing!! It is great to hear about others’ artistic ideas and things that work for them. My sketches and paintings truly come from my heart, and I love sharing it with others…my mind is always turning with new thoughts and ideas. Thank you for your compliment about the canvas…she really came to “life” rather quickly as I think back to the night I started working on her…I love it when that happens. It was as though I didn’t really have to “think ” about how I wanted to create it…guess that means she is really full of my vision, heart, and soul! 🙂 Love hearing from you!!ReplyCancel

Thanks for the pitcher tip. I have been trying to drink more water. I was just thinking about adding fruit to a my Brita pitcher. This is more fun. I must find one for a treat to remember to stay hydrated. I love the gate picture. Light just can add so much to a photo and how it is captured. Enjoyed the blog today Tucker!ReplyCancel
