It’s Not Your Momma’s Meatloaf…But, It’s My Momma’s~

If you follow my shoppe page on Facebook (Thank you!! ~ and, if you don’t I would love for you to!), then, you probably saw where I mentioned that I would be sharing a yummy {EASY} recipe with you.  Well, here it is.  This recipe is actually from Taste of Home, and my mom shared...

  • It looks really simple to do. My kids love Meatloaf. I usually just buy from costco. I will try someday and let you know. I’ve never cooked with and electric skillet. Something I didn’t know I needed. Thx for the recipe.ReplyCancel

    Hi Linda,

Yes, let me know what you think when you try it. It is really good! And, yes, girl, you do need that electric skillet!! LOL My mom had been suggesting I get one for a long time and kept telling me it would be something that would help me out dinner plans when I was busy working on orders and such. She was right! Got mine at Bed, Bath, & Beyond! 🙂

    Hugs!ReplyCancel

  • Hello Ann-Margaret! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I love Taste of Home magazine, so I’m sure it’s great. My husband loves his electric skillet – makes pancakes and chicken in it all the time. There are some spots that are more hot than others though…eventually we have to replace it and buy a new one.ReplyCancel

Hi Cindy!! I did actually end up making the recipe with the ground turkey so I need to share that on the blog soon. It was good, too! Ooh, I know…Taste of Home is full of so many yummy recipes! 🙂 I haven’t tried making pancakes in the skillet so I’ll have to do that…we enjoy having “breakfast” for dinner sometimes! You are so right though about some spots getting hotter than others, as I’ve found that with mine, too. I do love how fast it cooks and how I can leave it while I’m busy working on things…good for us girls that are always needing a few extra hands! Know you can relate! 🙂ReplyCancel

Tuesdays with Tucker™ {the Westie}…Splish Splash ~ Sunning Poolside

*Shh….don’t tell my momma that I’m posting Tuesday’s post on Friday!!  Maybe she won’t notice…ya think??  Oh, yes, this was me the other week…SPLISH SPLASH I was having a BLAST!! Yep, as you know we are in northern Alabama so we had some bad storms with many tornadoes to hit our area and lost electricity...

  • Oh Ann-Margaret I’m so glad to hear you weathered the storm – but what a scare! It’s hard to imagine you, Tucker and your Mom alone there in the dark. I’m so sorry you went through such a scary time. Nothing like up here in VA. I was so saddened by the loss that the tornados brought to the area.
One of my son’s best friend’s Mom is from Tuscaloosa and she started a huge grassroots effort to help tornado victims in her home town (although they live here in VA). Their effort got so large, that WalMart donated a truck and driver and Friday they drove down from Northern VA to Alabama to deliver all of the food/supplies to those in need. You can see her FB fanpage – NOVA for Bama.
I am so happy to see pictures of Tucker though – and in the POOL! He liked it?? Our Bentley wasn’t too thrilled about the water when we put him in the Bay a few times. I love the pictures you shared of your Boys. 🙂 It’s been nice to catch up with you!ReplyCancel

Hi, Sweet Friend!! Thank you for your sweet message. Yes, it was such a scary day! And, actually it was just Tucker and me in the bathroom! 🙂 We drove to my parents’ a few days later, but Tucker and I were holding down the fort for the first 2 nights…in the dark! 🙂 Oh, I am happy to know about your friend’s page and will definitely become a fan…how awesome that her efforts grew and others have offered to help so much. It really has been wonderful to see so many people and businesses working together to help those that lost so much. Yes, Tucker loved the pool…it’s a saltwater pool so I felt ok about him going in, and he did really have fun in the one we got last year. It was big enough that we could also sit in it so deep enough for him to do a little paddling ~ lots of good laughs! I have been thinking of you so much, Cindy and was so excited to see your message. We are due for a good long “late night cookie dough chat”!! 🙂 Hugs, girlie!!ReplyCancel
