Monday, January 26th, 2009 I love the song “First Steps” by Jim Brickman, and for those of you that know me…well, you know I love anything and everything by him! This was the song I walked down the aisle to at our wedding…on the arm of my daddy. I had rehearsed it so many times...
Oh, Ann-Margaret, I truly loved your story of your Granny. It really hit home with me as I visited my Granny during Thanksgiving and haven’t seen her in a few years. I was concerned she may not recognize me at first. I walked in her room and she was napping. When I woke her up, she knew me. She will be 98 next month and I can relate to so many of the feelings you expressed in your blog. Thanks for sharing your memories. I sorry for your lost but celebrate with you in remembering a lovely lady. I always send Granny things in the mail too and it reminded me to do that for Valentine’s next week. Thanks!!
I love your blog!
P.S. By any chance were you in Clio during the holidays? I thought I saw you but wasn’t sure and didn’t know why you would be in Clio. I still miss the tea room.
